American-Palestinian Teenager Liberated Following Nine Months in Israeli Imprisonment

An American-Palestinian youth after completing 270 days in Israel's custody absent formal charges was released.

The teenager Mohammed Ibrahim was fifteen years old at the time of his arrest this past winter throughout the West Bank territory, where he was visiting while residing in Florida accused of stone-throwing toward Israeli settlers, which he previously denied.

American diplomatic officials said it welcomed the teenager's freedom.

Currently aged sixteen, was taken to hospital upon gaining freedom, family members reported.

Family described him as visibly pale and thin, and is suffering from conditions developed during imprisonment.

Through an official statement, Mohammed's uncle conveyed their "tremendous relief".

Zeyad Kadur said the family had been "enduring a dreadful, continuous nightmare" throughout the past nine months.

"Currently, we're concentrating on ensuring Mohammed receives prompt healthcare necessary for his recovery after being subjected to mistreatment by authorities and cruel circumstances for months."

The state department stated they would maintain to extend consular services to the teenager's relatives.

Several congressional representatives endorsed a document to the state department and the administration, demanding more be done to release him.

The father, with four children who runs an ice cream business from Florida, previously claimed his child admitted guilt to throwing stones due to physical abuse.

He had not seen nor direct contact following the detention, receiving updates exclusively about his son's condition through judicial records.

The teenager remained lacking indictment in Ofer prison in the West Bank.

It is also home to grown detainees, some of whom have been convicted of serious terrorism offences and homicide.
