I will dominate 'credible fighter' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-round contest which will be broadcast in real-time on Netflix.

British boxer Anthony Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "defeat" the American as the combatants met personally to build hype for next month's boxing match.

Ex two time unified boxing king Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, on paper, a massive mismatch - at Miami arena on December 19th.

Fighter's Mentality

"I'm going to break his face and damage his physique. I'm here to prove I'm superior," Joshua, 35, stated.

"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I'm going to seriously aim to injure him. That's my intention."

Respectful Interaction

Despite these statements, a relaxed Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - usually known for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.

Paul instead criticized ex Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and labeled him "a joke" after Ngannou rejected a bout proposal.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at British opponent Tyson Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul victory.

"[Paul] is better than Tyson Fury - he's present here," Joshua stated.

"I acknowledge that."

Legitimate Opponent

In spite of stating he plans to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua refused to speak negatively about his opponent's boxing ability.

"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.

Jake Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has primarily boxed MMA fighters or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.

He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.

Commercial Success

Still, the novice continues to be one of boxing's greatest commercial attractions, consistently making huge paydays.

Forecast and Belief

The 28-year-old forecast a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would prevent the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently being planned for two years from now.

"It's going to be my match with Fury next year," Paul stated.

Physical Disparity

As the two fighters engaged in the usual stare-down, with their size difference clearly visible, it emphasized just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the fight is truly proceeding.
