Plane Carrying Pete Hegseth Forced to Touch Down in UK Due to Crack in Cockpit Window

An aircraft ferrying the US defense secretary was required to make an unscheduled landing in the United Kingdom on Wednesday following a fracture was found in the jet's front window, per an official announcement which stated that the secretary was unharmed.

"The jet touched down based on established safety measures and all passengers, including Secretary Hegseth, is safe," a spokesperson said in a online announcement.

He was traveling back from a quick journey to the Belgian capital when the incident occurred.

This incident does not mark the initial instance that a United States armed forces jet ferrying a senior official has experienced technical problems.

Months ago, a United States Air Force aircraft transporting Marco Rubio to the city in Germany was forced to turn back to the US capital after experiencing a technical issue.
